Another injured APS student passes away at CMH

PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – 18-year-old student Ishaq Ameen, who was critically wounded during December 16, 2014 terrorist attack on Army Public School (APS) in Peshawar, has succumbed to his injuries at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Peshawar on Saturday, Dunya News reported.

Ishaq’s condition deteriorated few days back after which he was shifted to the CMH but could not survive.



His younger brother Amir Ameen, a student at Army Public School and Degree College, was also brutally shot at but he survived.

At least 135 students and nine staff members were killed on Dec 16 when Taliban gunmen broke into the military-run school in Peshawar.

Outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had claimed responsibility of the attack in response to a major army operation against the insurgents in the tribal areas.

A day after the attack, the government lifted a moratorium on the death penalty and more than 20 convicted prisoners including high-profile terrorists have been hanged since then.

Authorities have also finalised a National Action Plan (NAP) to counter terrorism.
