Summary Election Commission had disqualfied him previously
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Headed by Justice Saqib Muneer, a 3 man bench began hearing the case of Malik Ghulam Murtaza disqualification case.
The defendant pleaded that Election Tribunal had disqualified him on the applications filed by his political rivals on the basis of absence of voting records.
After hearing initial evidence, the Supreme Court ordered the Election Commission to halt elections in PP-253 and restore Ghulam Murtaza to his former position.
Court was adjourned for an unspecified amount of time.
