Summary MQM members criticized the speaker on delaying the assembly proceedings.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh assembly session was postponed until Monday as the quorum was incomplete, Dunya News reported on Friday.
According to sources, only three members were present in the house at the start of the session due to which the speaker deferred the session whereas members of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) criticized the Sindh government and speaker on delaying the assembly proceedings.
Member of Sindh assembly Sardar Ahmed said that two motions were submitted against the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah but the speaker delayed the session without waiting for at least 3 minutes. Whereas, MQM leader Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan said that Sindh government refrained from answering the questions of opposition about the judicial killing of Sohail Ahmed.
On the other hand, Education Minister Sindh Nisar Khoro stated that MQM members should have come to the session early if they want to start the proceedings of the house soon. However adjourning the session is the prerogative of the speaker.
Earlier, the session was delayed on Wednesday after the strife between the government and opposition benches.
