Pleas against Dasti dismissed by Multan Bench

Lahore High Court Multan Bench has dismissed petitions against former PPP MNA Jamshed Ahmad Dasti and declared him eligible to contest election.The petitioner submitted two pleas in Muzaffargarh that Dasti was disqualified to contest by-polls in terms of Article 63 as he was no more a righteous or honest person.At Multan bench, Justice Tariq Javed has been hearing a petition of Tajveed Iqbal against acceptance of nomination papers of Jamshed Dasti.It is pertinent to mention that Jamshed Dasti, who had earlier resigned in March as member of the National Assembly to avoid disqualification for his alleged fake graduation degree.
