Pakistani tweeps lash out at PMLN govt over petrol crisis
Long queues at petrol pumps throughout Punjab caused the uproar that the govt is facing now
LAHORE: (Web Desk) – Petrol shortage has damaged the reputation of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) further as long queues outside petrol pumps across Punjab have dented the credibility of its ‘experienced team’ badly.
Currently four major conspiracy theories are in the market over petrol shortage. One says that the government wants to privatize Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and is thus paving way for it in this fashion. A second one says that the high-ups in Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s family have made money out of this fiasco. Another one, which is the government version actually, says that price reduction increased demand and government was completely clueless about the exact requirement while the final one says that distribution companies are trying to recover their losses by holding the sales for a few days in view of the price reductions.
Whatever may be the case, fact remains that there is no petrol and the people in long queues outside petrol pumps are not saying anything favorable for the government. Same was witnessed on Twitter as well where tweeps lashed out at the government and trended #PMLNPetrolChor to exhibit their anger.
People said that the government has led the nation into a multi-dimensional crisis
#PMLNPetrolChor Government has once again led us into multi dimensional crisis of highest order through criminal incompetence & corruption.

PML-N is often criticized for being over-focused on road construction. It was no different this time as well..
They were right, they don t need dictation with their experience. Self sufficient experienced idiots #PMLNPetrolChor pic.twitter.com/d12KgACnuY

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique have publicly made statements that it is a criminal negligence on government s part. On the other hand, Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that Interior Minister should have asked him about the reason for shortage before making the statement to avoid shame . People, however, are in no mood to listen to their blame game. They need petrol and nothing less would fix it for them. Infighting can hold for a while..
#PMLNPetrolChor Pakistan is facing such a severe problem and all they are doing is Blame Game... Blame it on SKA ,Blame it on Ishaq Dar..
