Witness identifies 3 suspects in Inspector Shafiq Tanoli's killing case

KARACHI (Web Desk) – A witness has identified three suspects in Old Sabzi Mandi blast case that killed Inspector Shafiq Tanoli and three others, Dunya News reported on Saturday.

In April last year, a bomb blast took place near a tailor s shop in Old Sabzi Mandi in Karachi s eastern neighbourhood, killing four people including Inspector Shafiq Tanoli, Jalal Uhand, Dawood and Ejaz.

Today, constable Asif who got injured in the incident, appeared before the anti-terrorism court as a witness and identified three accused including Nadeem Khan, Abid Ali and Noor Rasheed. The suspects are on physical remand till January 20.

Karachi, a city of 18 million people which contributes 42 percent of Pakistan’s GDP, has also been plagued for years by sectarian, ethnic and political violence.
