Govt directs PTA to remove banned outfits' hate-material from internet
Directives to complete the verification process of SIMs within as many as three months were issued
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The government on Friday has issued directives to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to track accounts of banned outfits on social media and websites and remove hate-material that leads them to get hold of suppressed people of the society.
A meeting was held to review the implementation of the National Action Plan headed by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan. In the meeting Nisar ordered PTA authorities to remove hate-material of the banned outfits from the internet. Directives to complete the verification process of SIMs within as many as three months were also issued in the meeting.
The meeting decided to stop the funding of banned outfits by conducting an operation to limit transference of money through illegal means including fake references.
The meeting also reviewed the progress in the matter of containing the refugees in their camps. Moreover, the meeting also resolved to review the educational syllabus.
