Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Thursday reiterated the firm resolve of the government to fight out terrorism for sustainable regional peace. Terrorism is our common enemy. We have resolve and will as well as ability to fight out and eliminate this menace, the prime minister said welcoming the delegation of parliamentarians from neighborly Afghanistan and the Speaker of National Assembly of Afghanistan Younis Qanooni. He said although Pakistan suffered huge losses in war against terrorism in terms of human lives as well as economy but the whole nation stands united against this evil. This unity is unique and we shall collectively fight out terrorism. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani urged the Planning Commission to ensure early execution of Public Sector Development Projects being undertaken in next budget in conformity with the governments 9-point agenda. Talking to Dr. Nadeem ul Haq, Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission at PM House, the Prime Minister said energy shortage is the biggest problem adversely affecting the countrys economy.Meanwhile, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Thursday called for an efficient and coherent United Nation system, capable of responding to needs and priorities of the developing countries. Talking to Dr Abdussalam Treki, President of the UN General Assembly here at the PM House, Gilani said the General Assembly should play its full and effective role in accordance with the relevant Articles of the UN Charter and as reaffirmed in 2005 World Summit Outcome Document.
