 KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) members of the Parliament along with the coordination committee on Saturday in a press conference announced the party’s recommendations for the national policy to counter-terrorism.

MQM member National Assembly Farooq Sattar said that the army courts to be established to counter terrorism should be temporary. He also urged to incorporate the police and madrassa (religious institution) reforms, modernized way of interrogation and investigation and protection of the judges and the witnesses.

MQM members said that there are people like Maulana Abdul Aziz in the political and religious parties and they must be exposed in front of the people. They also urged the formation of a committee to review the progress of the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA).

On the occasion, Barrister Farogh Naseem said that if the army courts were used against any political party then they would challenge the decision in a court.
