The Met Office reported that winter rains are expected in second week of January.

LAHORE (Web Desk) - Dense foggy conditions would continue in Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad and Sahiwal divisions, while foggy in Sargodha, Rawalpindi, Multan, Bahawalpur, D.G Khan, D.I Khan and Sukkur divisions during night and morning hours this week, the the Pakistan Meteorological Department reported on Tuesday.

Dense foggy conditions are expected on M2 (Lahore to Pindi Bhattian sector), while fog on M1 ( Peshawar to Burhan sector) during night & morning hours.

Very cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country; however, light rain (light snow over the hills) is expected at isolated places in Malakand division, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas during the next 24 hours.

On the other hand, flight operations at Lahore`s Allama Iqbal International Airport resumed as fog reduced while motorway authorities have advised the motorists to use fog lights and travel via GT Road.

According to Met Office, winter rains are expected in second week of January, however, cold and dry weather is expected in most parts during this week.
