Supreme Court has refrained on Monday the Advocate General Punjab from representing Chief Minister in the dual membership case and directed the latter to hire a private counsel.A five-member bench headed by Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk heard the case in which Shahbazs holding of two provincial assembly seats has been challenged. The petitioner contended in the application that Shahbaz got elected from the Bhakkar seat unopposed and after becoming the CM, he won another Rawalpindi seat, however, as per law he could hold only one seat while the other one be considered as vacant. The court has adjourned the case sine die.
