Death toll rises to 115 as famine claims three more lives in Thar
No relief teams have been formulated nor has administration distributed wheat among the affectees.
THARPARKAR (Dunya News) – At least three children died in Thar taking the death toll to 115 in 54 days as they lost their battle against dearth on Monday.
15-day old Mushtaq Ibrahim breathed his last at civil hospital Mithi and 18-month old Rasheed Samijo including an infant died in Chachro whereas an expectant mother passed away at the civil hospital.
Neither has the administration distributed aid wheat among the affected people nor have any relief teams been formulated on emergency basis whereas deficiency of water is at its worst leaving people at the mercy of famine.
