Sindh Bar Council elections underway
2072 lawyers are expected to cast vote for 16 seats of Sindh Bar Council.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Elections for Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHC) are underway at the premises of SHC on Saturday.
2072 lawyers are expected to use their vote to elect 16 members of the bar council.
According to details, Barrister Abid Zuberi and Mustafa Lakhani are contesting for SHC bar presidency whereas Abdul Qayyum Abbasi, Nishat Warsim, Saleem Mangrio and Yousaf Molvi are competing for the post of General Secretary.
It is for the first time that elections for Sindh Bar Council are being conducted in the premises of Sindh High Court instead of district courts.
Polling will be continued till 5 pm.
