KARACHI (Web Desk) – Police have arrested two suspect involved in robbery at Edhi Centre from Korangi area of the metropolis on Saturday, Dunya News reported.

According to police, one of the suspect identified as Mazhar looted gold worth millions of rupees from country s prominent philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi. The suspect had already been released on bail in a robbery case.  

On a tip-off, polio also conducted a raid near PIDC and arrested female employee of Edhi head office. She was traced through her mobile data. 

On October 19, at least eight robbers struck at the Edhi Centre in the southern city of Karachi, taking several staff hostage and threatening the organizations revered founder Abdul Sattar Edhi at gunpoint, and made away with gold, foreign currency and other valuables worth millions of rupees.

Yesterday, Bahria Town Director Zain Malik handed over a cheque of Rs50 million to Abdul Sattar Edhi to compensate his loss. The compensation as promised by Bahria Town CEO Malik Riaz.
