KARACHI (Web Desk) – Opposition parties on Tuesday staged walk out from Senate in protest against firing on Awami National Party (ANP) workers in Karachi, Dunya News reported.

Addressing the Senate, ANP leader Shahid Syed stated that his party is facing unannounced restriction in the metropolis.

Pakhtuns can’t even open their offices. The federal and provincial governments are silent over the issue, he added.

Talking to media, Senator Haji Adeel stated that ANP opposes division of Sindh province.

Earlier today, Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali told the House during question hour that currently there is shortfall of 2800 to 5500 megawatts depending upon weather conditions and demand versus generation.

He said that sixteen power projects with aggregate capacity of 2685 megawatts are currently in different stages of completion.
