Summary Two separate attacks took place on Sariab Road and Double Road.

QUETTA (Dunya News) – At least four people were killed and nine others injured in a hand grenade attack on a shop in the provincial capital on Wednesday.

According to police, unknown suspects riding on two motorbikes tossed a grenade and opened fire at barber shops on Double Road in Langoabad area.

The attack damaged two shops which were reportedly crowded at the time of the incident. The injured were shifted to Quetta Civil Hospital where two victims succumbed to their injuries.

Fear and panic gripped the area after the incident. Law enforcement personnel have sealed Double Road and launched search operation in the area to nab the culprits.

According to police, the shop owners belonged to Bahawalpur and authorities had already alerted them that they could be targeted by the miscreants.

Further investigation into the incident is underway.

On the other hand, uknown attackers targeted a photographer s shop in Zamindar Street near Sariab Road, injuring two people. The victims were rushed to the civil hospital while motive behind the attack could not be ascertained yet. 

Separately, a father and his daughter were killed in a shooting incident on Quetta s joint road.
