Chairman National Assembly Standing Committee on Sports Jamshed Dasti have tendered resignation on Thursday.Earlier, Supreme Court heard the case regarding Chairman National Assembly Standing Committee on Sports Dastis fake degrees and observed that his NA membership could have been suspended.Dasti told the court that he has done a course of Dars-e-Nizami, however, he remained unable to tell the court the exact date of the course. Also he could not tell the court about the number of Qurans verses and surahs.Upon this, Justice Rmaday reprimanded Dasti, saying that 'how come you did Dars-e-Nizami course as you dont know the names of 5 surahs?'Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry remarked that its impossible for the court to let Dasti scot-free as he represented the House, adding that I think your membership be suspended. Meanwhile, another NA member and one of Punjab Assembly also tendered resignations as their degrees have been challenged in the court.Those resigned include PML-Qs Nazeer Ahmed Jatt of Burewala and Ajmal Asif of Faisalabad besides Jamshed Dasti.
