ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the next 48 hours are very crucial, adding that the government can take action anytime.

PML-N leader said PM will not resign on the demand of a few thousand people. However, he hoped that the issue would be soon resolved.

He said the government’s patience should not be misinterpreted as their weakness.

Asif said it wasn’t the matter of ego, adding that the government was ready for a legal solution.

Defense Minister said the PM cannot be removed though illegal means, saying that the majority elected Nawaz Sharif as prime minister.

On the other hand, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri directed the protesters to surround the Parliament House and do not allow anyone in or out of the building.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chief threatened that the Azadi March supporters will storm PM House if PM Nawaz doesn t resign by evening.
