Summary Mobile service and internet blackout in Islamabad until further orders

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Islamabad has been declared as a ‘red zone’, and there is ‎a complete closure of mobile phone services as well as an internet shutdown ‎within most parts of the city.‎

According to Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA),the Federal Capital of Islamabad has been declared as a red zone including the areas ‎of Constitution Avenue and Margalla road, Kashmir road till Quaid-e-Azam ‎University have been shutdown.

Sources added that this order for termination of ‎services was given by the government in order to combat terrorist elements, ‎which may damage offices of law enforcement agencies, and in response to any ‎other unforeseen occurrence.
