Pillion riding ban, cellular network suspension likely on Youm-e-Shuhada: Mashood
Police have already detained dozens of PAT workers in Lahore.
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Punjab Law Minister Rana Mashhood on Friday said the provincial government is reviewing options to impose ban on pillion riding and suspend mobile networks on the occasion of Youm-e-Shuhada, Dunya News reported.
Talking to media at Lahore Board office, the law minister said that operation in North Waziristan being conducted against those who do not obey law and constitution and Dr Tahirul Qadri also opposes law and constitution.
Qadri is working on the foreign agenda, he added.
He said decision on the case regarding Tahirul Qadri’s arrest will be taken after the report of legal branch.
Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri had announced August 10 as Youm-e-Shuhada (Martyrs’ Day).
Earlier, Qadri had demanded that the ruling PML-N government resign by the end of the month following deadly clashes with his supporters in June.
