KARACHI (Dunya News) – An explosion occurred near Quaidabad police station in Karachi early in the morning on Wednesday, however, no loss of life has been recorded, Dunya News reported. Meanwhile, two people were killed in firing in Liaqatabad area and a tortured dead body of a woman has been recovered from Korangi area on Wednesday.

Violence continues to plague the city of lights as a severe blast occurred near Quaidabad police station in the Sherpao Colony of Karachi creating an air of dismay. According to the bomb disposal squad, the blast which was carried out using a planted, remote device used 5 kilograms of explosive materials. The explosive material was kept in a tin of oil.

On the other hand, a group of unknown men opened fire on a shop in the Liaqatabad FC area of Karachi, killing at least two people, Hamid and Ashraf. The police have termed the incident as an attempt of target killing.

Meanwhile, a dead body of a woman has been recovered from the Korangi area. The body bore marks of torture and a number of injuries. In the Orangi town of Karachi, a miscreant was killed during an exchange of fire with the police whereas two criminals accused of robbing factories were arrested in injured condition.
