Senior journalist Majid Nizami laid to rest
Senior journalist and editor-in-chief of the Nawa e Waqt Group Majid Nizami buried.
LAHORE (Dunya News) -- Senior journalist and editor-in-chief of the Nawa e Waqt Group Majid Nizami buried in Lahore on Saturday. The funeral prayers were attended by Chief Minister, Governor of Punjab, senior journalists and politicians.
The funeral prayers of Majid Nizami, who was an active figure in the Pakistan Movement, were held at Bagh-e-Jinnah in Lahore. The funeral prayers were attended by senior politicians, journalists and ministers including Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Minister of Railways Saad Rafique, Chief of Jamat ud Dawa Hafiz Syed. The attendants expressed grief over Majid Nizami’s death and paid tributes to his journalistic contributions. Majid Nizami was buried in the Miani Sahib graveyard. Majid Nizami was suffering from a heart ailment and was admitted to a local private hospital where he died on Saturday night at the age of 86.
