Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) Rang Mahal Imran Babar Jamil has been demoted to the rank of Officer on Special Duty (OSD), as the officer denied releasing four bandits under severe pressure from high authorities.Speaking to media in the from the Rang Mahal Police Station, Imran Babar said that Police arrested four outlaws few days back and if he would be given the opportunity to interrogate the convicted persons they would be proved guilty. He accused that his high authorities warned him of transfer and threats of dire consequences if officer denied releasing four bandits.Besides threats of dire consequences, the honest officer received orders of his transfer due to the disobedience.DSP demoted due to disobedience, says IG PunjabIG Punjab Tariq Saleem Dogar speaking to Dunya News said that he constituted to look into the matter he said that the committee would present its finding in next 24 hours. IG Punjab added that the committee would conduct detailed extensive investigations.The main complaint against DSP Imran was relating to his reputation and FIR page was torn by him.IG Punjab said that if the allegations were false then his transfer orders would be canceled. IG also said we would full fill the commitment of our duty and all decision would be done on merit. The proceedings of the case would be shared with media.
