Summary Met office has predicted that the first pre-monsoon showers will take place during the next 48-hour.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted that most parts of the country including Islamabad, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha division and Kashmir will receive first pre-monsoon showers during the next 48 hours.

Pre-monsoon rain accompanied by dust-storms is likely in Islamabad, upper Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir on Monday and Tuesday.

Mainly very hot and dry weather is expected over most parts of the country on Sunday (today). However, dust-thunderstorm rain is expected at isolated places in lower Sindh and Makran coast.

The highest temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were Bhakkar 48 C, Nokundi and Dadu 47 C, Dalbandin and Risalpur 46 C, Mianwali, Dera Ismail Khan, Peshawar and Sibbi 45 C.

The maximum temperatures recorded in the other cities were Islamabad 42 C, Lahore 42 C, Karachi 37 C, Peshawar 45 C, Quetta 38 C, Skardu 33 C, Murree 30 C, Muzaffarabad 43 C, Gilgit 41 C, Faisalabad 42 C, Multan 41 C and Hyderabad 40 C.
