Govt to present Rs 3.8trillion budget on Tuesday

Summary Dar will present federal budget for the fiscal year 2014 2015 in the NA on Tuesday.

ISLAMABAD (web Desk) - The government is all set to present its second federal budget with an outlay of about Rs 3.8 trillion for fiscal year 2014-15 before the Parliament on June 3 (Tuesday).

Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar will present federal budget for the fiscal year 2014 2015 in the National Assembly Tuesday (tomorrow) at 4 30 pm.

President Mamnoon Hussain has already summoned the National Assembly to meet on Tuesday for the purpose. All necessary arrangements have been made for smooth conduct of the budget session.

According to sources, prices of cement, cosmetic, steel and agriculture equipments will go up, while five percent duty on air conditions and other industrial equipments may be imposed.

Meanwhile, PM Nawaz Sharir has rejected FBR’s proposal to end incomes tax exemption to President, PM, judges of higher courts, chiefs of armed forces.

On the other hand, MQM presented federal shadow budget, demanding bringing sales tax at 9 percent.
