LONDON (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PMLQ) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) on Saturday announced to begin a movement for change in the country. The leaderships agreed upon a 10-point agenda that includes transfer of power to the local level. PAT chief also announced to come back to Pakistan in June instead of July, Dunya News reported.
The central leadership of both parties held a joint press conference and presented their agenda. PAT’s Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri read the agenda to the press.
As per the joint agenda, the corrupt and weary electoral system has failed to solve people’s problems. The current governments were formed through unconstitutional election commission, therefore formation of new democratic government representative of people has become inevitable.
The agenda further included the promise to provide everyone with employment, housing and subsidy on utility bills to those whose income is less than 15,000 rupees a month.
It further said that Pakistan will be made a moderately enlightened country and that the natural resources will be utilized. It said that the power will be transferred to the local level and that free education will be provided until the matriculation level.
Constitutional protection will be provided to industrialists, traders and businessmen and money will be saved by forming a government that is based on austerity.
Social welfare state will be demonstrated with practicality.
Qadri said that he will now come back to Pakistan in June instead of July.
The central leadership of both the parties signed on the copy of 10-point agenda.

He alleged that Punjab government shut down five thousand schools, adding that their leadership will take children of poor to schools.
PMLQ chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that the clauses included in the joint announcement are good and that PMLQ completely agrees to the views of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri.
He further said that local and foreign investors will be given protection. He said that the contacts will be initiated with the prominent personalities belonging to the political and religious parties.
PMLQ Chief said that this will not limit to just the statements and that the practical steps will be taken.
