Faisalabad clashes: Section 144 imposed; 50 held

In wake of the worsening law and order situation, Section 144 has been imposed in Faisalabad today.Six people were injured and over 50 were nabbed during the past 24 hours.Three people were injured in incidents of firing in Ghulam Muhammadabad area of Faisalabad whereas three motorcycles were set ablaze. Meanwhile, SSP (Operations) Sarfraz Falki has suspended PS Sargodha Road SHO Mian Zahid, while the whole city remained shut.On Saturday, protestors set alight a police station and dozens of vehicles in the area following a clash between two groups, during an Eid Milad-un-Nabi procession.The clash erupted after one of the groups opened fire on an Eid Milad-un-Nabi procession, leaving three people injured.
