At least 31 people were killed and 100 others injured in a bomb blast in cattle market of Akka Khel of Tehsil Bara, Khyber Agency.The bomb, which was already planted, exploded when people were busy in trading in the market, eyewitness said.Resultantly, 31 persons were killed, while 100 others wounded.The deceased also include key commander Azam Khan among four other militants. Security forces had cordoned off the area immediately after the blast.According to Commissioner Kohat, Abid Khan above 100 got injured, many of whom are stated to be in a critical condition. The locals started rescue operations on their own as the usual rescue efforts could not be kicked off owing to uneven roads.The injured have been shifted to District Headquarters Hospital.Rise in the toll is also feared owing to shortage of medical facilities. Meanwhile, the President and PM strongly condemned the incident and ordered immediate probe.
