ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that dialogue process with Taliban has made development and it would make further progress.

Addressing a function at Centre for Research Policy here on Thursday, the country has been facing a bloody war for last 12 years but nobody paid attention to restore peace in the country through dialogue. He said the PML-N government initiated this process and it would make Pakistan an abode of peace.

“Why those criticizing the government did not hold talks during their tenure as the situation in Federally Administrative Tribal Areas (FATA) was peaceful in 2002”, he said.

The interior minister said that Pervez Musharraf dragged the country into war to prolong his rule. He said that the talks are the way to restore peace in the country.

Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that the next phase of talks with Taliban would be discussed during his meetings with government’s committee on Thursday and Friday.

The interior minister said that the probe would be launched into the incident of blast on the route of Pervez Musharrasf.

Responding to a question that Musharraff left Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC), without any information, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that every is responsible of his own security.
