Summary Difference of opinion regarding ceasefire exists among Taliban.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The government has sought days for making any decision on the demands of Taliban.
There, on the other hand, exists difference of opinion among various segments of Taliban regarding ceasefire.

Chairman Public Accounts Committee and Leader of the Opposition Khursheed Shah said his party was ready to get peace restored in the country.

The contact between the two negotiation teams was delayed owing to the Musharraf issue. But now the government has contacted Taliban coordinator Maulana Yousaf Shah and asked for two more days to decide on the demands of Taliban.

Taliban spokesman Shahidullah Shahid, meanwhile, has said there were talks going on within Taliban regarding the fate of the ceasefire.

He admitted there existed difference of opinion regarding the ceasefire among Taliban but talks could continue without ceasefire. The TTP head of Mohmand Agency Khalid Khurasani has clarified his statement regarding ceasefire was quoted out of context and all groups of Taliban were bound to follow the Amir.
