Death squad is killing party workers after handpicking: Altaf Hussain

Altaf Hussain urged the authorities to expose elements that are targeting party workers.

LONDON (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain alleged on Tuesday that police was acting with prejudice and murdering his party workers after handpicking them, Dunya News reported.
Altaf Hussain said in a statement that he has condemned extrajudicial killings of party workers Sanaullah and Mansoor Ahmed. He said that continued incidents of extrajudicial murders of party workers are a matter of concern for peace loving people nationwide.
He claimed that some prejudicial police officers have set up a death squad in the name of Karachi operation. He alleged that this squad is murdering Muhajirs after handpicking them.
Altaf Hussain urged the authorities to expose elements that are targeting ‘innocent party workers.’
It merits mentioning here that several people including party workers have been arrested and brought to questioning with regards to the ongoing targeted operation in Karachi to eliminate militancy.
MQM had held vocal protests and condemnations against the arrests and alleged abductions of party workers. MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has alleged several times that the rangers and police have been ordered to crush his party workers instead of militants.
Federal government had commissioned a targeted operation against militants in Karachi. The operation is headed by Sindh government and all parties having stakes in Karachi and Sindh had announced unconditional support.
