Radar system near Pasni Airport attacked, one security officer killed

GWADAR (Dunya News) – A security officer was killed and another two injured in a terrorist attack on Civil Aviation Authority’s (CAA) radar building adjacent to Pasni airport in Balochistan on Saturday, Dunya News reported.
According to aviation sources, CAA radar building was attacked by 10-15 terrorists who later held CAA staff hostage. Terrorists continued firing in-discriminatorily for almost half an hour which resulted in martyrdom of a Levis officer and the injury of another two.
Aviation sources further revealed that terrorists also snatched mobile phones among other goods from the staff. District Inspector General (DIG) Gwadar Muazam Jah Ansari said that more forces from Gwadar have been sent.
The sources also indicated injury of terrorists during encounter with security forces. Searching and eliminating terrorists became difficult due to dark.
The building was cleared after encounter with terrorists.
