Allegations against parliamentarians: Dasti's evidence incredible, says committee

Summary Dasti alleged on the floor of NA that immoral activities were taking place at the parliament lodges.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The special committee appointed to investigate allegations, leveled by MNA Jamshed Dasti against parliamentarians, that a number of parliamentarians were involved in “immoral activities” at the Parliament Lodges said that submission of empty liquor bottles was not credible evidence to prove his claims.

The committee said non-Muslim lawmakers also lived at the official residential apartments for parliamentarians and were permitted to purchase and consume alcohol.

Committee member Khawaja Sohail Mansoor said such the surfacing of such allegations was on account of negligence by the CDA and demanded the resignation of Maroof Afzal who heads the development authority.
