Maulana Samiul Haq optimistic for success in peace talks
The JUI-S chief urges govt to avoid blaming Taliban for any terror incident without any evidence.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami (JUI-S) chief and member of Taliban negotiation committee Maulana Samiul Haq has said that the government and Taliban committees have lead to the process of talks and he hopes the negotiations would be successful.
Talking to newsmen on Monday at Islamabad airport on his arrival after performing Umrah in Saudi Arabia, The JUI-S chief said that the government should not blame Taliban for any act of terrorism without any evidence. He urged that the process of talks should be protected from internal conspiracies.
Mualana Samiul Haq urged to expose the enemies of peace. He blamed that the US and India wanted to sabotage process of peace talks.
Meanwhile, Maulana Samiul Haq also held a meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan and discussed with him the present situation in the country. Both the leaders hailed the announcement of ceasefire by Taliban and the government.
Imran Khan said that the announcement of ceasefire will clarify about the supporters and opponents of peace talks. Both the leaders agreed to hold a detailed meeting during this week.
On the other hand, the sources claimed that the decision about the future of government negotiation committee would be finalised on Tuesday.
According to sources, the number of government committee members would be increased and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan would be on the front of the committee.
According to TTP negotiators, some other groups were also involved in terrorist activities.
