At least 15 people including 8 policemen have been killed and several others sustained injuries when 3 bombs ripped through the police lines in Bannu, Dunya News reported on Thursday. DPO Bannu sustained severe injuries and declared critical by doctors. He was shifted to Peshawar by helicopter. Rescue teams reached the blast site and started the relief activities. The injured shifted to nearby hospital. Police cordoned off the area and blocked the road for traffic. Bannu was declared a sensitive area where mobile system was jammed due to security concerns.Comissioner Bannu Sardar Abbas said that curfew has been imposed in Bannu and investigation of the incident has been started.
