A contradiction has been broke out between the statements of Law Ministry and PM House. The Law Ministry said it has sent the summary regarding the judges appointment to the Prime Minister while the Prime Minister House has denied the reports. Talking to media in Islamabad, Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Babar Awan said that the summary regarding the judges appointment has been sent to the Prime Minister and after the approval, the president will issue notification in this regard. He said that the summary was prepared in light of the suggestions put forwarded by the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. He maintained that the constitutional and legal formalities would be considered regarding the judges appointment on the vacant seats.Replying to a question, he said that request has been made to fill up only two vacant seats in the apex court.On the other hand, the PM House spokesman said that no summary was received. According to Al-Jehad Trust decision, the judges should be appointed within 30 days on the vacant seats.
