Summary Shia Ulema Council Pakistan has announced three-day mourning to protest the target killings.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Prominent religious scholar Allama Taqi Hadi Naqvi was gunned down in North Nazimabad area on Thursday.
According to police, Allama Taqi was riding in an auto rickshaw to his home when unidentified motorcyclists opened firing.

Hadi died on the spot as two of the bullets hit him in the face, police said adding that the motive appeared to be sectarian.
Allma Taqi Hadi Naqvi was author of several books and educational head of Jafria Disaster Cell. A large number of people thronged Abbasi Shaheed Hospital after the incident.

In another incident, unknown persons opened firing on a high roof vehicle killing two persons including Qari Jabbar and Bilal.

A seminary head was gunned down along with his son while four others were injured in a firing incident outside madrassah in Sachal Goth area.

According to details, unknown assailants opened firing on a shop near madrassah, killing seminary head Qari Ali Hassan and his son Maulana Manzoor while injuring another person.

Tension gripped the area soon after the firing while markets and business outlets were forced to shut. Angry mob also protested and blocked the roads.

According to witnesses, the assailants were on a motorbike while police said they have gathered evidences from the area.

Moreover, a person namely Hamid Raza was shot near Pakwan House dead in New Karachi.
