Summary Apex court can take cognizance of anyone not doing the needful.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) Justice Jawad S Khwaja has said that the court can take notice of anyone not performing his duties, weather he is chairman NAB or a cop.
The court responded to the submission of the prosecutor general saying the court cannot limit the time for investigation and submission of the report.
Three-member bench of the Supreme Court was hearing the OGRA verdict implementation case when it made these observations.
Earlier, the prosecutor general contended the court was not competent to limit the time for the investigation and submission of the report as it was the prerogative of the chairman Nab. The court had asked the Nab to complete the probe within 45 days.
The court also asked the NAB to submit the answer in this regard.
