Musharraf was accused of being part of a criminal conspiracy to kill Bugti in August 2006.

QUETTA (Dunya News) – Anti-terrorism court (ATC) has rejected the plea of former president Pervez Musharraf seeking exemption from appearing before court in connection with the Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case.

ATC Judge Tariq Anwar Kasi heard the case today (Monday).

During the hearing of the case in Quetta, former interior minister Aftab Sherpao and former provincial home minister Mir Shoaib Nowsherwani appeared in the court.

Musharraf’s lawyer requested the court to exempt his client from appearing in the court due to his illness.

The court expressed dissatisfaction over the plea and directed the former military ruler to appear before court in the next hearing.

On the other hand, the court reserved its decision over bail applications of Aftab Sherpao and Shoaib Nosherwani.

The case hearing has been adjourned till February 24.
