Summary Police and Rangers conducted a joint operation against criminal elements in Lyari area of Karachi.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – As many as two dacoits along with five Lyari gang war accused were killed in two separate police encounters in Karachi while Rangers arrested over 100 suspected people including members of banned outfits during operation in troubled areas of the metropolis.
Rangers conducted search operation in Sohrab Goth area of Karachi. All entry and exit points were sealed while over 100 suspects including activists of banned outfits were arrested during operation. Huge caches of arms were also confiscated from the arrested.
The operation was conducted on a tip off regarding presence of criminals in the area.
Police and Rangers conducted a joint operation against negative elements in Lyari. A Lyari gag war activist was killed during an exchange of fire between criminals and personnel early morning.
Meanwhile, an alleged dacoit was killed in police encounter in Landhi Labour Square.
In a separate incident, another dacoit was killed on super highway in Sohrab Goth.
