LAHORE (Web Desk) – Lahore High Court on Tuesday directed the Punjab government to submit a reply within 15 days for not implementing Article 62 and 63 in the by-elections, Dunya News reported.
During case proceedings, petitioner’s lawyer told court that Article 62 and 63 is not being implemented in the by-elections.
Resultantly, bank defaulters and those committing contempt of court could come into power. This will be violation of the constitution, he added.
Later, the court directed the government to submit a reply on the next hearing on January 15.
