Summary Targeted operation by Police and Rangers resulted in capturing of 81 suspects.
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – At least eight people have been killed in a number of shooting and other violence related incidents. Targeted operation carried out by Rangers and Police resulted in the arrest of 81 suspects -- 12 of which belonged to a banned outfit -- and recovery of heavy weapons and ammunition.
According to police, 2 people were gunned down in Lyari and Liaqatabad. In another incident, one Ashiq Hussain was gunned down at Baldia Ittehad Town Gulshan Ghazi. In Baldia Ittehad Town, one Syed Tanoli was shot dead. At SITE industrial area, near Habib Chowrangi, one Irshad was killed. A limb-tied body was recovered Manghupir northern bypass. Another tortured body was recovered from Malir Memon Goth Lake.
Rangers captured 12 suspects after sieging Malir Murghi Khana and Qaidabad. Police arrested 6 suspected Taliban militants and recovered ammunition. Another targeted operation in Quyyumabad resulted in capturing of another 60 suspects.
