The supporters of federal minister Khurram Dastagir defied all boundaries when the minister arrived in his hometown Gujranwala for the first time after the new ministership. Open display of arms and ammunition was witnessed including several rounds of aerial firing.
The federal minister and policeman deployed with his convoy kept watching the show without intervening. The rest of the supporters kept celebrating with their peculiar dance moves.
Meanwhile, the citizens stuck in the traffic jam kept waiting like the silent spectators.
Following Dunya News’ report, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif took notice and ordered an inquiry. According to the reports so far, one supporter has been arrested who reportedly was identified with the help of TV footage.
