KARACHI (Dunya News) – At least three suspected terrorists belonging to banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed in police encounter on Thursday morning.

According to Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Karachi police, a raid was conducted in Manghopir area where they faced heavy armed resistance.

In relation, three suspected militants identified as Imran alias Lamba, Shahb-ud-Din and Surat Jan alias BBC were killed.

Police have also seized 50 kilograms of explosives, 10 hand grenades, 1 kalashnikov, 2 pistols and a vehicle from their possession.

SSP CID Chaudhry Aslam said that suspect Shahab-ud-Din was chief of TTP Landhi.

They were wanted for multiple counts of murder and extortion, he added.
