The Lahore High Court has rejected Rehman Maliks plea seeking exemption from in person appearance in court.However, the court extended the pre-arrest bail till February 25.A bench comprising Justice Khawaja Sharif and Justice Manzoor Malik heard the case.Maliks counsels argued that an FIA team raided a house to nab human traffickers, adding that the accused confessed after a lapse of three years that the FIA team impounded gold and other valuables and at that time Rehman Malik was Additional DG FIA.In the second reference it is alleged that the minister has taken cars as bribe.The counsels told the court that Rehman was convicted in absentia, adding that the court could not convict any person in absentia.
