Missing persons' heirs continue sit-in before Parliament
DHR says that around 2,000 people have disappeared from across the country.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Relatives of missing persons continued sit-in before the Parliament on fourth day today (Monday).
A protest camp has been established in front of the Parliament House on D-Chowk to press authorities for recovery of the missing persons.
The protestors have vowed to continue sit-in for another two days until the government presents missing persons on Supreme Court’s order.
Defence of Human Rights (DHR), an organisation formed by the relatives of the missing persons, claim that around 2,000 people have disappeared from across the country.
Last month, a group of over two dozen people -- mostly women -- marched 700 kilometres (430 miles) from Quetta, the capital of the southwestern Balochistan province, to the southern port city of Karachi to register their protest over disappearance of their relatives.
