Summary Says aim of suspension of supply is to register protest against drone attacks in Pakistan territory.
NOWSHEHRA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has said that the nation had given mandate to political parties for restoration of peace, not for war.
Talking to the media Sunday, Imran urged the federal government to ensure that the US did not indulge in drone attacks during the peace talk process.
Imran Khan asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to stay in Pakistan and deal with the internal challenges instead of going on foreign tours.
“Pakistan is burning while Nawaz Sharif is undertaking foreign trips one after another,” he said.
“There are people who are being paid to oppose the peace talks” he said.
“One who calls for peace talks is labeled as pro-Taliban by the same lobby,” he stated.
The PTI chief said that his party had nothing to do with the Taliban, adding it is only concerned about the country and the people.
He reiterated his stance that the killing of Hakimullah Mehsud in a US drone strike was a conspiracy to sabotage the peace talks.
