Summary Interior Minister Nisar Ali has agreed to jam cellular services on eve of Muharram processions.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has agreed to jam cellular services on the eve of Muharram-ul-Haram.
According to sources of interior ministry, it has been directed to provincial governments that district governments would inform the center in writing to jam mobile service anywhere they want.
Interior Ministry would suspend the service in the mentioned areas according to time- table.
It is significant to be mention that Chaudhry Nisar had opposed banning of mobile phone services during Eid days by former Interior Minister, Rehman Malik.
Sources added that Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan did not want to jam services because of Rehman Malik but he took step due to increasing threats from Taliban.
