ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Issuing contempt of court notice to former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi, the Islamabad High Court directed him to submit his reply within next two weeks.
Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqi heard the contempt petition filed by Ahmed Nawaz Khan on Friday.
During the proceeding, the petitioner stated that Najam Sethi was working as PCB chairman despite court orders, adding that he had also made an announcement on social media in this regard.
The Justice remarked that violation of court orders comes under contempt of court law. No one will be allowed to ridicule court orders, he added.
The court issued a contempt notice to Najam Sethi and sought reply within two weeks.
Meanwhile, Justice Shaukat asked the secretary PCB to apprise the court if they had contacted Justice (R) Munir A Sheikh for holding elections or not.
