Summary Shaukat Aziz, Aftab Sherpao and others are going to be nominated as respondents in Lal Masid Case.
ISLAMABAD (Online) - Shuhada Foundation has announced to make former Prime Minister (PM) Shaukat Aziz, former interior minister Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, former defence minister and secretaries respondents in the case registered against Pervez Musharraf with reference to Lal Masjid operation.
SF spokesman Hafiz Ehtesham Ahmad has said in a statement that Haroon ur Rashid son of Abdul Rashid Ghazi will nominate these persons as accused in his statement and the SF has also given an application to IG Police Islamabad for preventing former president from proceeding abroad and non cooperation on the part of police.
Talking to Online Hafiz Ehtesham voiced apprehension that police was working in favor of Pervez Musharraf and it will provide former president a full fledged opportunity in connection with acceptance of his bail plea. Police is not ready to ascertain any evidence from us, he added.
Bloody operation was launched against Lal Masjid and the largest religious Madrissah of girls students in the world, Jamia Hafsa on July 3-10 during 2007 under the orders of Pervez Musharraf. Hundreds of students of the seminary, Abdul Rashid Ghazi and his elderly mother were martyred in the operation. Dead bodies of hundreds of girls students were defiled as phosphorous bombs were dropped on them and faces of the martyrs were charred by throwing acid on them.
Bodies of hundreds of girl students and mother of Abdul Rashid Ghazi were taken away from the site Over 40000 copies of the Holy Quran and Hadith were torched in the operation and later they were thrown in the nullah.
Justice Noor ul Haq Qureshi of Islamabad High Court in clear terms gave order for registration of case against Pervez Musharraf on July, 12, 2013 on the application filed by Haroon ur Rashid Ghazi but no case was registered till 50 days. SHO Aabpara police registered case against Pervez Musharraf under section 302 and 109 due to filing of contempt of court application by Haroon ur Rashid Ghazi against the police.
Federal police did not initiate investigation against Pervez Musharraf in murder case of Ghazi Abdul Rashid and his mother even one and a half month after registration of case against him and used dilatory tactics deliberately.
Pervez Musharraf was arrested in murder case of Ghazi Abdul Rashid but federal policed was trying its best to facilitate former president to flee from the country. Perhaps federal government may have sent directives to the federal police that Pervez Musharraf has to be saved at every cost. Chief minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has settled the matters with Saudi ambassador to give safe passage to Pervez Musharraf.
As per directives of SP Jamil Hashmi we along with Haroon ur Rashid Ghazi reached Aabpara police station to record our statement On October, 14, 2013 against Pervez Musharraf in Lal Masjid operation case, the police man deployed on main gate of police station did not allow us to enter therein. SHO Aabpara moved out of the police station instead of recording out statement, he said.
Even SP Yasir Afridi left his office as soon as we entered into his office to record our statement. He misbehaved with us and ordered the police personnel on duty to lock up Tariq Asad, Haroon ur Rashid Ghazi and others . No statement was recorded.
He warned if Pervez Musharraf is granted bail in Abdul Rashid Ghazi murder case and he flees from the country and any negligence is shown in the investigation of murder case then the entire responsibility will rest with 5-member investigation team constituted under DIG Khalid Khattak.
